The Novel Night Owl

Welcome to The Novel Night Owl.

Hi there. I'm the creator and artist behind The Novel Night Owl. You might be thinking, 'who is this mysterious, faceless figure?', and to that I say...

GOOD.

Life's more interesting with a touch of mystery, don't you think?

Jokes aside, my name is S.L Brim. I'm a local artist who has been honing her craft as both a visual artist and writer for the past several years now, but I've been exploring the creative arts my whole life.

Here at The Novel Night Owl we live and breathe stories. The saying goes 'a picture speaks a thousand words' but I prefer 'a picture tells a story' and the length is up to the observer. In turn, this means different people can experience different stories from the same picture, unlocking a little creativity from each person.

Those stories can inspire, invoke feelings and ideas. That's one of the many beauties and powers of art, and one of the many reasons I became an artist.

I've loved telling stories since a very young age, whether by simply creating a tale from the images of a book before I could read the words, or painting a picture of some crazy idea that my imagination put forth.

My journey through the creative arts has been a labour of love and equally the greatest adventure.

Alright, I'm going to keep this pretty short and reign in my ramblings. I've gotta commit to that mystery after all.

I hope you enjoy your stay here, even if you're just passing through.

This Novel Night Owl is signing off.
